  • The client

    Expence, based in Dubai, UAE, is an expense management platform at the forefront of the fintech industry. Designed to meet the needs of businesses of all scales, it offers physical and virtual Visa card issuance, spending management, online payments, invoicing,and robust security. Expence helps companies on their path to improved expense control and financial freedom.

  • Challenge

    The Expence finance platform presented several challenges. The main one involved improving the mobile app’s features for better user engagement and onboarding. We faced some difficulties integrating this functionality into the web application. 

    Another concern was providing a smooth physical and virtual card issuance process. Arounda’s specialists also had to tackle employee spending tracking and enable the invoice uploading feature. Additionally, we focused on providing security throughout critical activities such as balance changes and card settings.

  • Our solution

    Our team aimed to deliver a better mobile app’s functionality and seamlessly integrate it with the web application. That’s why we suggested tackling the core user’s pain points: onboarding security, card management, and card issuance. 

    Our experts decided to centralize card management and enable convenient employee spending tracking with manual adjustments. On top of that, we introduced a user-friendly invoice upload feature using a QR code system. To prioritize security, we implemented password protection for critical in-app actions.

In this finance product work example, a mobile app, we have significantly enhanced onboarding by enabling QR code login and simple user data filling in. We also prioritized convenience by allowing users to switch between different cards in one place and implementing a seamless process for uploading receipts and invoices through QR codes.
